Aigüestortes National Park

Aigüestortes is Catalan for winding water, and so was our hike along the Sant Nicolau River to Llebreta Lake and the Cascade of Sant Esperit (Holy Spirit).  Climbs with plateaus inbetween for a breath, the sound of the river rushing over rocks below, frost still on the ground as the sun moved across the mountain, all made this a hike fit for the Sant Esperit!   A picnic on the sunny rocks in front of the falls energized us for the 4.5 km goat tripping return or was it the thought of the spa at Caldes de Boí spiriting us along?
