La Casa de Salvador Dalí

Planning to walk from Cadeques to the Cap de Creus lighthouse, we first reached Portllligat and got no further.  Drawn by sight of two large silver heads on a roof, we found ourselves on the waiting list to visit the house of Salvador Dalí, who lived in this tiny port with his muse, Gala for 52 years until her death in 1982.   We had packed a picnic, so we found a nice spot to enjoy the views of the harbor.  A cancellation put us in a group of 8 allowed inside.  Eccentric, whimsical, imaginative, Dalí had a "if you can think it, try it" approach.  Several windows in the house had frames around them, capturing the image outside as a picture.  I could not pass up a similar opportunity on the Cadeques waterfront.   We had so much fun exploring the house and the terraced olive grove of Dalí's world.
