San Sebastián, Spain or Donostia in Basque, is just across the Border from Saint-Jean-de-Luz. Besides the beautiful scalloped shaped beach, La Choncha, it is famous for it's pintxos bars. Pintxos are almost single bits that you pick from a platter, keeping your toothpick or small dish so that you know how much to pay. The platters are displayed on the bar.
Txakoli, the local, young, white wine, is served extremely cold, is poured from a height to force fizz into the liquid, and is delicious with the seafood pintxos!
