A little gem of a museum nestled in the Tuileries Garden, the Orangerie was designed according to Monet's
specifications to display his large curved Water Lilies series. Two rooms with four canvases each surround you with the pond at Giverny - or rather the feeling or sense of the pond at all hours of the day. Immersed in this light of reflection, we just sat down an let it soak in. An added bonus, the personal collection of 1920's art dealer Paul Guillaume, (the Cézanne below one of my favorites) sets the stage for our visit to the 0rsay.
